Born in Seoul, December 13, 1967. After he graduated from Choongang Univ., Dept. of Photography, he started his first career at Design House Co., a magazine publisher in 1991. 

Upon working with ELLE Korea in 1992, Kim Wook opened his studio "Kimwookstudio" and became a freelance-photographer.
On November 12, 1998, he has published his first photo collections "Kimwookbook". 
Also he has had exhibitions ten times.

At present, Kim Wook appears as a photographer in major fashion magazines such as VOGUE Korea and ESQUIRE Korea, and participates in leading fashion advertisements.
